Boulle Joins Park Place Motorsports for Endurance Championship in 2019 Porsche GT3R

Nick Boulle has been named as the official Endurance driver for Park Place Motorsports Michelin Endurance Championshp assault. He will drive the new 2019 Porsche 911 GT3R for the first time during testing at Daytona International Speedway in January 2019.

Boulle, of ^deBoulle Diamond & Jewelry, with locations in Dallas and Houston, brings the Texas charm Park Place Motorsports was missing. Boulle is the first Dallas native to sport the logo of the Dallas based Park Place Dealerships. The city connection gives each company a chance to expand its well-established notoriety in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Boulle offers more than a business connection when behind the wheel of the No. 73, he brings years of experience on the world’s greatest endurance race courses including Le Mans, Spa Franchorchamp and Daytona. His greatest notoriety may be when he became the first certified Rolex retailer to win the Rolex 24 At Daytona in the LMPC class with Performance Tech Motorsports in 2017.

Boulle often chases race wins, but this year he looks forward to pursuing a championship alongside teammates Team Principal Patrick Lindsey and Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long.

Porsche has designed a new racecar for the worldwide GT3 class based on the 911 GT3 RS production sports car: the Porsche 911 GT3 R. During the development of the up to 404 kW (550 hp) racing 911 variant, special attention was paid to make particularly efficient aerodynamics and further optimized safety. The lightweight body design of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS production sports car features an intelligent aluminum-steel composite construction that has proven to be the ideal basis. The roof, front hood and fairing, wheel arches, doors, side and tail sections as well as the rear lid and interior trim are made of particularly light carbon-fiber composite material (CFRP). All windows consist of polycarbonate.

The brand-new Porsche GT3 R looks unbelievable, and I can’t wait to get my first few miles in it under my belt. I have a lot of learning to do in terms of GT racing, but I’m excited for the challenge and know I’ll be prepared with the experienced teammates I have to lean on this year.”

In Dallas, Lindsey looks forward to building up Park Place Motorsports’ brand in the team’s new hometown with Boulle alongside him, while undertaking the task. At the track, he is gearing up to bring Boulle up to speed in the Porsche 911 GT3 R and win a championship.

“Nick is a great guy and a great driver, which is why I’m happy to have him as part of our team this year,” Lindsey said. “I think he’ll fit in just fine and get up to speed quickly. He’s been a pro in the car before and has some GT experience. He also has experience winning at one of our biggest races, which is more than I can say. He’s very steady in the car which makes him ideal for the position of endurance driver. He also brings that Dallas connection that I believe will make people in the area more excited about having a hometown team. Hopefully, he can help us integrate into our new home.”

Boulle’s first duty as a Park Place driver was to aid Porsche at the official IMSA test at Daytona Tuesday, December 11. Lindsey and Long will join Boulle in the No. 73 Park Place Porsche at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 January 4-6. The early January weekend will be the first time all three drivers share a car. The fourth driver for the Rolex 24 At Daytona has yet to be named but will participate in the Roar.
