After becoming the first official ROLEX Jeweler to win the 2017 ROLEX 24 Hours of Daytona, deBoulle Motorsports’ Nick Boulle will finally be back in a race car at this weekend’s IMSA ADVANCE AUTO PARTS SPORTSCAR SHOWDOWN at Circuit of the Americas. For this race last year, Nick filled in for Performance Tech Motorsports with a last minute pairing with James French. The pair drove to a podium finish together at Circuit of the Americas in the sweltering Texas heat.
This year, the race takes place in the first weekend of May rather than the Summer heat. A last minute home for Nick was found with BAR1 Motorsports alongside English racing driver, Stefan Wilson. Stefan, younger brother to the late Justin Wilson, gave up his spot in the 2017 Indy 500 due to Fernando Alonso electing to take part in the race with Honda and McLaren backing the move. The race weekend will begin Thursday morning with testing, qualifying Friday afternoon and the two hour and 40 minute race on Saturday afternoon from 1:35PM to 4:15PM. The IMSA Advance Auto Parts SportsCar Showdown will be televised on FOX SPORTS 1 and it will show LIVE on IMSA.TV.
