This year holiday cheer was in full effect at deBoulle with much to be thankful for. The month of December included several fun-filled events in Dallas and Houston where friends safely gathered to celebrate the holiday season and give back to the community. We were festive, indulged a little, and supported worthy causes near to our hearts.
At the beginning of the month, the River Oaks District and Ferrari of Houston teamed up to organize the annual Ferrari Festival benefiting Texas Children’s Hospital. deBoulle Houston welcomed attendees with coffee and lite bites as guests walked around the district admiring the cars on display. The highlight for many guests was the unveiling of the 812 Competizione on center stage. As a family that is passionate about race cars and children’s causes, the Boulle family was thrilled to be involved in this special day.
Then, it was time for the deBoulle Christmas parties in Dallas and Houston where we had the opportunity to give thanks to our wonderful clients and friends. Peppermint martinis, festive fare, and lively music kept spirits bright as guests mingled and created their holiday wish lists.
Next, we hosted “The Art and Science of Colored Diamonds and Fine Wine,” both products reliant on the uniqueness of the earth’s soil and refined in their form. Guests enjoyed an interactive evening exploring how colored diamonds are formed deep in the earth and the importance of “terroir” or environment in which a superb wine is produced. One of the world’s foremost experts on colored diamonds flew in from Geneva for the occasion and brought with him some incredibly rare fancy-colored diamonds. To make the evening even more special, Chappellet Vineyard presented its crescendo of wines, Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests enjoyed a back-vintage tasting from the Chappellet family’s private cellar.
Mid-month we shifted gears and hosted an organization we care deeply about, Camp Sweeney. This year marked the 10th annual Sweethearts for Sweeney event held at deBoulle Dallas. Along with our good friend David Genever-Watling and many generous donors we helped raise nearly $150,000 to benefit underprivileged children with Type 1 diabetes in attending summer camp. Thank you to everyone who attended the evening and helped support such a wonderful cause.
As the month drew on, Karen and Emma Boulle organized their first-ever wreath making events in Dallas and Houston. Guests enjoyed harnessing their inner creative spirit to make these classic holiday decorations. Not everyone has the talent of Martha Stewart, but we sure had a lot of fun trying.
Then, it was “Guys Night Out” complete with cigars, Gatsby Golf clothing, a putting green, vintage arcade games, some top-notch scotch, Flecha Azul Tequila, and incredible timepieces. What else could a guy want?
Finally, Santa took time out of his very busy schedule to visit deBoulle Dallas. Friends and families were invited into the store to meet Santa and get their photo taken. As a special takeaway gift, Santa’s elves prepared homemade cookies pre-packaged for guests to take home to lay out for Santa when he arrived at their homes. How thoughtful of the elves. Ho Ho Ho!
In the end, December was a whirlwind, but we are grateful for our loyal customers, the deBoulle team, and the community that we proudly serve. We are truly blessed. Wishing you the best in 2022.
